७७१ : कार्लोमानचा मृत्यू. शार्लमेन फ्रँकिश सम्राटपदी.
१८२९ : भारतीयांचा कट्टर विरोध असूनही लॉर्ड बेंटिंकने जाहीनामा काढून सतीच्या प्रथेला मदत करणार्‍यांना खूनी ठरवले जाईल असा कायदा केला.
