SP fields ace defector Chandrika Kenia from ThaneThe Samajwadi Party on Monday announced the candidature of former Maharashtra minister of state and Rajya Sabha MP Chandrika Kenia from the Thane Lok Sabha constituency.Kenia defected to the Samajwadi Party on Sunday from the Congress which she had rejoined in 1992 after quitting the Shiv Sena, the Samajwadi Party's Maharashtra unit president, Hussain Dalwai, told reporters in Bombay. Speaking to reporters, Kenia who was minister of state for education in the S B Chavan ministry from 1986 to 1988 and then a Shiv Sena MP, said she had joined the Samajwadi Party to strengthen the hands of party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav. Kenia said she had a lot of expectations from the Congress as well as the Shiv Sena-Bharatiya Janata Party alliance in the state, but it had proved to be most inefficient, with rampant corruption, extortion and atrocities on women and dalits. Controversy, not too long ago, was her middle name. Chandrika Kenia, the tempestuous cricketer-turned-socialite, has spent her life flitting between parties - Shiv Sena to Congress and now to the Samajwadi Party. But if arrogant once, now she is much mellowed.
Old-timers in Thane look bemused as Kenia actually listens to people, explains her stand and ends by declaring herself a true daughter of Maharashtra.
Her image, too, keeps changing. For urban Thane, she becomes a secular Mumbaikar. For the Gujaratis, it's apari Chandrika eating their home-made food. And for the leftists, she readily hands out lal salaams. Yet, some of the volatile nature remains. In the middle of a hectic campaign recently, she rushed off for a boat ride in Thane as a huge crowd cheered her on.

demons of hatred,violence and war are lapped by newspapers,tv channels and radios not the peace loving messiahs
It rains when there is peace and love.The whole world and atmosphere radiate with happy thoughts and emotions.The trees are greener, the sun is brighter, the weather is cooler. Everything is fresh and vibrating with positive energy.
We face the hotter plannet, simply because the thoughts of hatred, greed, unhappiness,jealousy,aggression, war, violence are agitating the whole world. Materialsim, avarice and greed lead to degradation, pollution, no rains, hot environments, no greenry, recession.Negative and unproductive activity.
The TV Channels, the newspapers, radios and magazines are spreading the cult of violence and hatred. I have done away with watching the news channel, reading daily newspapers . Instead I watch meaningful vedeos, dvds, listen to good music. Talk to positive people. I am at peace with myself and the world. The world is beautiful, amazing and things happen in a miraculous way.
If the world hates Osama Bin Laden and Taliban, the world should also dislike George Bushes, Obama and Varun for spreading hatred and violence.
What is the obejctive and purpose? Being Americans, does not give you a right to teach a lesson to Osama Bin Laden and Afghanistan and Pakistan. These people themselves are fighting with the demons within. Varun can not plead innocence in the name of Hindutva. Neither Hindutva,Islam or Christian religion teach violence. Every religion speaks of love, peace, humane attitude. That is God. God is Love, God is PEACE, God is HAPPINESS. God is ONENESS.
The leaves of a tree are all one and the same. The cells in the body are all one and the same. Same with the Universe. and man and woman are like cells of the battery or body we name as God, Ishwar or Allah.

People of India are dying of hunger. Families are committing suiside as there is no food to eat and the earning members are jobless. Recession has hit the common man hard. The shameless politicians indulge in corruption. The public needs to expose them and throw them out of power. Be is the DDA flats scam where CBI inquiry is going on. Let us punish the politicians who indulge in corrupt practices.

fight for New Delhi,s problems
My heart goes out for the Delhiites who always struggle,sweat,suffer gigantic traffic jams everywhere. Let's do something about it. I , Chandrika Kenia Jain, former member of Parliament and Minister in Maharashtra who lives in Greater Kailash for several years feel very much about the neglect of the traffic police to control the unruly traffic. The vehicle riders, car owners, auto riksha wallas and motor bike owners are equally to be blamed for the mess. The general public watches the huge load of vehicles and traffic jams passing by everyday. Let's not be just the onlookers. We must do something about it.Shake yourself up . Wake up.
The noise pollution created by the honking of the horns on the roads is horrible. The horns should not be honked unnecesarily. Stop honking the horns of the cars unnecessarily.Remember Chandrika Kenia Jain when you honk unnecessarily. Charity begins at home. Disciplene starts with you. I will personally come and station myself at certain locations where traffic jams are chronic and horrible.

trafic jams in Mumnbai and New Delhi
To be confined to homes or offices or trafic jams? that is the question uppermost in the minds of Delhikars and Mumbaikars. It is well nigh impossible to get out of the house in the morning during the office hours i.e. 8 am to 12 pm and you are alsways stuck in the traffic . It takes hours together to reach the place of work. The staff members start in the morning at 6 a.m. to reach office at 8 am. and those who leave in the evening at 6 pm reach home at 9 p.m.
In Mumbai, I wait till about 10 p.m. to commute from the workplace to reach home. After 10 p.m. when the traffic is less, it takes me only 30 minutes to reach home at Juhu from Nariman Point. My outings also start at late hours say 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.to avoid the traffic jams and enjoy the peaceful, hasslefree nightlife in Mumbai. However, in New Delhi , I am back home by 9 p.m. There is no night life for me in New Delhi.
Traffic jams are worse in Pune, Jaipur, Agra and other smaller towns. There is no disciplene. There is no awareness of driving rules like drive in the same lane do not change the lane,autorikshas and bicycles can not occupy the centre or the first lane. The unruly overtaking , speed, the sudden crossing and dash by the pedestrians, the vast number of private vehicles plying on the roads are some of the problems. I have been driving variety of cars for last several years all over India, I find it difficult to drive on the highways and in cities mainly becauses the buses and trucks are the speedsters, come on to you and cause accidents.Most of the time these are fatal accidents. Many a time, when I am driving a car on the high way, I imagine or see my car being toppled and crushed by heavy vehicle. It is like a premonition and shudder at the thought. Fortunately, I drive big cars like Lancer and Sonata or earlier BMW and Honda Acord. Hence I feel that there will be no loss of life. I always fasten my seatbelt and make others to do that.
I interact with many traffic police in the cities and highways and thery all complain to me to do something about the unruly traffic. Their main complain is that there are exorbitant number of verhicles on the road and the roads and infrastructure almost remain the same. The plight of Mumbai city is the worst. More and more sky scrapers are coming up . There is only vertical growth in buildings. However, the traffic congestion, water and elctricty shortage, car parking problems have multiplied. The mega cities of Mumbai and New Delhi are not livable.

open letter to Sonia Gandhi
Dear Soniaji,
You talk with lot of contempt and hatred when you refer to assertive, strong hindu sentiments. Hindutva and Hindu sentiments are not bad in fact they are the lifeline of our country, India from time immemoreal. The centuries old customs and traditions, the habits of food, cloth, the dance , the music, the family culture, the oneness of the society are some of the brilliant and positive features of Hindu famillies, Hindu religion and philosophy of Hindutva.
The experties in Software, in IT, telecommunications, in manufacturing, in trade and business, strides in education and sports, art and culture are all thanks to our adherence of tenets of Hinduism and faith and trust in Hinduism, When the whole world is looking upto India and its people to lead the world to peace and prosperity, your talk of Hinduism in negative way casts a shadow of doubt on the intentions of Congress. Is it for development? Is it for peace and law and order and providing security to people of India? Congress never stood for anti hinduism as projected by your leadership and the goernment at the Centre. In India, the majority of people, frankly speading 85% of the population, lives, breathes, eats and dreams of hindu principles and philosophy. Your attack and aggressive postures are hurting the Indians all over the world.
India stands for merit, performance and good governance.
Whereas Congress stands for dynesty rule, psychophancy, poor performance and poor governance. The government which does not and can not give security and protection to its citizens of India has no right to rule the country.
India in the 21st century requires stong leadership, assertive leadership, strong fundamentatlsanf principles of corporate governance and governace of states and nation
and not fake and psudo ideas of appeasement of minorities, reservations as against merit in education and services. Let the hard working Indian get the job, let the hard working sturdernt get the chance to go to the best of shools and colleges. I belong to minority of Jain community. I can very proudly say that I am born in country like India where principles of Hinduism, Jainism, Budhdhism , Islam and Chrisianity prevail simultaneously. The cohesivelness and unity of India lies in the fact that all religions are allowed to flourish. The minorities with their different culture and religion are respected as well. As a Jain, I have never faced any hindrance in my preacching or follwing and propogating the Jain tenets of coooperation, peace and violence.
Any religion or fanatics who spread violence, death and destruction are to be condemned and disapproved. India requires peace and protection, not fanaticism and violence. Disrupting the day ot day life in New Delhi and Mumbai and other parts of the country through terorist attacks, bomb blasts and violence can not combat or halt the progress of the country as the development in India is built on the foundations of equal opportunities, merit, hard work,ingenuineness of Indian people believing in peace, cooperation, non violence and positive environment.
The Congress Party has lost its way in the maze of rhetoric of psychophants and leaders who are cut off from the ground realities. Time has come to do introspection by the central leadership which sits tight in offices with A/cs and heaters in New Delhi least bothered about the woos and troubles of common and poor men and women of India

Anil Kumble deserves all cudos as captain of India
Anil Kumble has done it again. Anil Kumble as a captain of India in Test matches is a different player all together. Instead of pushing the ball through, he has floating the ball more oftern and bowling googlies. It is a great sight to watch Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh bowling in tandem and being the main wicket takers. Our strength is spin bowling and that fact has been highlighted again. With solid line up of Saurav, Rahu and Sachin, Yuvraj and others, India is on its way to win the Ist Test against Australia in Melbourne and win the Test series too.
